U.S. forecast maps in the Morning Weather Summary report and on the website now include southern Canada. Period average maps are also now contoured at 2 degree intervals from 36 degrees below average to 36 degrees above normal instead of the previous 3-8, 8-12, 12-16 and 16+ anomaly ranges.

A new forecast model comparison page is available showing higher resolution forecast model temperature anomalies calculated from a 1980-2010 climatology (vs. 1971-2000 on the old version). Period anomalies are now at 2 degree intervals like the daily maps and the maps now depict anomalies more than 16 degrees above or below normal.

Hourly forecast graphs now show the observed data for the previous day as well as markers that allow for quick comparison of current temperature and humidity levels with those at the same time yesterday. Go to the City Forecast Page, click on a city, and then click on "View Hourly Forecast" to view the graph for a particular city.

Daily temperature and degree day forecasts are now available out to 9 months for about 180 cities. These forecasts combine the 15 day forecasts with the seasonal forecasts in a daily format. We are not attempting to forecast day to day weather 6 months in advance, but rather provide the seasonal forecasts in a daily format for use in some modeling applications. The forecasts are avaiable on the Data Files Page under the Seasonal Forecast Data section.

Note that some of this data is included with subscriptions to the Individual City Forecasts and does not need to be purchased separately.
